A goods lift such as a ‘dumb waiter’ is subject to twelve-monthly periodic examination frequencies. Passenger / goods lift thorough examinations should not be confused with regular lift maintenance by your lift service company.

In the UK it is a legal requirement to ensure that a passenger / goods lift is inspected regularly by an independent competent person to ensure that it remains in a safe and suitable condition and complies with current safety legislation / regulations and British standards.
